Safety Standown and Mexican Dinner

This morning we hit D8 for Paul 1 and 2 to clean the hub (midsection that holds the blades).  Apparently a nut was loose in the hub and causing grease to get spread around.

Muddy conditions today, hopefully it is dry by Monday.  Around 1:00 an aviation flag apprently fell off the top of E8 turbine and smashed through the cab of the crane on the pad.  The operator was rushed to the hospital, next of kin called, etc.  He should be OK, but we went on "safety stand down" for 20-30 minutes while the issue was taken care of.  Started working on E2 but got cut loose at 3:00pm, so we have alot of work to do to mechanically complete the turbine on Monday.  Fastenal makes great bottled water.  I go through about 4 of these a day (drink of champions).

Looking forward to a day off, and sleep past 5:45am tomorrow morning.  Went back to the motel, showered and headed to Altus to a recommended Mexican restaurant (the kind with no gringos).  Had a great meal of steak and shrimp with rancho sauce, homeade tortillas, rice and beans, and a Coke (hencho en mexico).

Stopped by Quartz Mountain Golf Course to check it out, hope to play it sometime soon.  Took some photos of the lake, great scenery.

Hit up Walmart next to the motel, got ice cube trays, multiplug, and some Sprite.  I asked the cashier if they sold postcards, she looked at me like I was crazy, then joked, "we probably don't have any postcards because who would want to visit Hobart anyway".  Less of a joke and more of a statement now that I think about it.
